Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson was born in Mexico into a family that included musicians. Her early years were shaped by the classical music of her parents, boleros as well as the classic romantic, ranchero and romantic ballads. Ana has a passion for Tangos, opera, and any form of dramatic performance. At the age 16, she started singing and studying music with her mum. Flavio, a Mexican famous tenor, started to provide her with more intense vocal instruction. Her musical education continued at the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards at the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. The beginning of her professional career included performances with a variety of chamber ensembles and opera choruses and chamber groups in Guadalajara. When she moved in America in the year 2000, she joined the United States in 2000, she performed with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before making the move to her current residence in southern California. She has performed solo Latin American music for private occasions and is a part of Ensemble XXI in Redlands. Her love and passion in music, art and performing keep her engaged with a variety of local initiatives as a teacher and performer. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana is hoping that, through her sharing songs from Latin American traditional songs, that she can inspire a love, especially among the younger generation, for keeping this music alive.
