Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September the 21st of September 1983 in Worthington Ohio, USA is an American actress. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her roles as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television series. Maggie Grace was born in Worthington, Ohio and dropped out of school after her parents divorced to go to Los Angeles to live with her mother. In the midst of financial hardship, she got her first acting gig as the title character in the online video show Rachel's Room in the year 2001. The actress was able to secure a Young Artist Award nomination in 2002 for her performance as fifteen-year-old victim Martha Moxley in the television movie Murder set in Greenwich. She also co-starred with her older sister in Donnie Darko, a popular cult movie. She then appeared as a character in Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind and Mona Lisa Smile (both 2002). Gyllenhaal received critical acclaim in both of her roles as the main character of Secretary (2002) which is which is an erotic romantic drama and Sherrybaby (2006). The actress was also nominated for her fellow actors for the Golden Globe Award. After several commercially successful films in 2006 such as World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008).
